REVOKED means the issuing organization withdrew its recognition of the document. The status is public immediately and applies to every copy of the document, printed or digital.
What the verifier sees#
Only the red REVOKED banner (RÉVOQUÉ in French) with the reason recorded by the organization, for example This credential has been revoked — Manual. No holder details, no document information and no Signed QR mark are displayed for a revoked credential.

How a credential becomes revoked#
- An administrator revokes it from Status & Revocations in the dashboard, with a reason. See Revoke a credential (institutions) or Revoke a credential (companies).
- An administrator revokes the underlying document (for example an employee document's Revoke action).
- A student is deleted: the documents generated for them are deleted and their credentials revoked. Certificates and diplomas already awarded are preserved.
Revoking a person (setting a student or employee to Revoked) changes the person's registry status and prevents new documents; it does not by itself revoke the documents already issued. Revoke those explicitly if that is the intent.
Reversing a revocation#
A revoked credential can be restored from the same page, provided its document still exists and was published. Restoring returns the public page to VALID (or EXPIRED, if the validity period has meanwhile ended). Deleted documents and documents that were never published cannot be restored.
Every revocation and restoration is recorded with the user who performed it.
