Revoking tells every verifier, immediately and on every copy of the document, that your institution no longer recognizes it.

Before you revoke#

Decide what you want to withdraw:

You want to…Do this
Withdraw one document, certificate or diplomaRevoke its credential (this guide)
Stop issuing documents to a studentRevoke the student's QR code on QR Codes students — this does not revoke documents already issued
Withdraw everything issued to a studentRevoke each credential from the student's credentials list

Step 1 — Open Status & Revocations#

Sidebar → Operations → Status & Revocations.

Step 2 — Find the credential#

  • For a student document, filter on Documents or search the student's name or UID, or open the student's credentials list.
  • For a certificate or diploma, use Find an issued award with the full code (IVQA-CER-2026-XXXXXXXX / IVQA-DIP-2026-…), the student UID or the title. Awards whose student was deleted are included.

Step 3 — Revoke with a reason#

Select Revoke and enter a reason (for example Issued in error, Replaced by document IVQA-DOC-…). The reason is stored with the credential and shown on the public page. Confirm.

Step 4 — Check the result#

  • In the table the credential's status is now REVOKED.
  • The public verification page shows the REVOKED banner with your reason and nothing else about the holder. Reload the page if you had it open.
  • The document remains listed in Student documents; a published document follows its credential's status.

Restore a revoked credential#

Select Restore on the credential. Restoring is allowed only for credentials whose document still exists and was published; deleted or never-published documents cannot be restored. The public page returns to VALID — or EXPIRED if its validity period has ended in the meantime. Restoring does not create a new QR code.

Who did what#

Every revocation and restoration records the user who performed it and the time. They appear in the Verification logs and can be reviewed later.
