Not found#

NOT FOUND is the answer when no published credential matches the code that was scanned or typed. The page shows no details at all. Causes, from the most common:

  1. The document is still a draft. In IVQA a draft has no public existence. Its QR code — for example one scanned from a preview before the document was saved — answers exactly like an unknown code. Publish the document (save it) and scan again.
  2. The code was typed with a mistake or under the wrong type on check.ivqa.org. A certificate code (IVQA-CER-…) is not found under Document.
  3. The document was deleted by the organization.
  4. The code was never issued by IVQA.

Invalid#

INVALID covers the remaining cases where IVQA cannot confirm the credential — for example a credential whose status is not one of the recognized values. It is rare in normal use. If you see it on a document you issued, open Status & Revocations, find the credential and check its status; contact support if it looks wrong.

For issuers: checking the state of a document#

  • Student documents and Employee documents pages show a DRAFT or VALID badge next to each document.
  • Status & Revocations lists every person and credential with Validated / Pending / Revoked filters and a Find an issued award search by code, UID or title.
