The QR code does not scan#

  • Make sure the printed code is at least about 2 cm wide and not cut by a fold or a stamp. In the Position QR step you can enlarge the code before saving.
  • Try a different QR application or the phone's built-in camera.
  • Type the public ID on check.ivqa.org instead — see Verify by reference.

The page says NOT FOUND for a document I issued#

The document is most likely still a draft. Open Student documents (or Employee documents), find it and check the badge: DRAFT means it was never saved as a final document. Open it with Continue editing and save. Drafts answer Not found on purpose.

If the badge is VALID, check that the code was entered under the right type and without typos.

The page says VALID but I revoked the document#

Revocations are immediate. If the page still shows VALID:

  1. Reload the page; a browser may show a cached copy.
  2. In Status & Revocations, use Find an issued award with the public ID and confirm the credential's status is Revoked. If you revoked the person rather than the credential, the documents keep their own status — revoke the credential explicitly. See Revoke a credential.

The page says REVOKED but I did not revoke it#

Look at the Verification logs page and the Status & Revocations page: every revocation records who performed it and when. Deleting a student also revokes the credentials of the documents generated for them. If the credential's document still exists, you can restore it.

The page says EXPIRED#

Template-generated student documents are valid for 3 months; employee, company and institution documents follow the dates you set. See Expired credential. Issue a new document if a current one is needed.

The details look wrong (name, level, program)#

The page shows the holder's identity as it was at issuance. Correcting the student's profile afterwards does not rewrite an issued credential. Issue a new document after the correction; the old one can be revoked.

The level is shown as a readable label (for example Bachelor's / Licence · Year 2) in the language of the visitor.

"Signed QR: OK" is missing#

The mark only appears when the page is opened from a link carrying IVQA's signature — normally a scanned QR code. A code typed by hand or a link copied without its sig part opens the same page without the mark. The verdict is not affected.

The verification page does not load#

check.ivqa.org and app.ivqa.org are separate services. If the verification page is unreachable, wait a few minutes and retry; the QR code does not expire. If the problem persists, contact support.
