Diplomas and certificates are almost always designed outside IVQA — by your registrar, your design team or a printer. IVQA therefore does not template them: you upload the file and IVQA makes it verifiable.
Where#
- Institution Dashboard → Diplom and Certificate, for one validated student at a time. See Upload a certificate or diploma.
- Institution or company documents that are not about a person go to Institution Documents / Company Documents.
Accepted files and types#
| File formats | PDF, JPG, PNG |
| Types | Certificate, Diploma, Attestation, Other |
| Result | A PDF with the QR code stamped where you placed it |
| Public ID | IVQA-CER-2026-… for certificates, IVQA-DIP-2026-… for diplomas, IVQA-DOC-2026-… for other documents |
| Verification type on check.ivqa.org | Certificate & Diploma (or Document for other documents) |
The QR placement step#
After upload, the Position QR view shows your page with a draggable QR code. Choose a clear area, set the size (aim for at least 2 cm when printed) and save. The QR code is written into the file; the original layout is otherwise untouched.
File fingerprint#
IVQA records a SHA-256 fingerprint of the uploaded file. The public verification page shows it with the File integrity verified mark, so a verifier can compare the file they were given with the one you issued.
Good practices#
- Upload the final version of the file: saving a new version means issuing a new document with a new code.
- Prefer PDF for multi-page documents; JPG and PNG are single images.
- Keep the QR code away from folds, stamps and signatures.
