Anyone holding a document your institution issued can check it in seconds, without an IVQA account.

Documents, certificates and diplomas#

Scanning the QR code on a student document, certificate or diploma opens its verification page on check.ivqa.org. For a valid document the verifier sees:

  • the status banner — VALID — and the document type (for example School Attendance Certificate · VALID);
  • Institution: your institution's name;
  • Student and Student UID;
  • Public ID (the verification code) and Status;
  • Issued date, Program / Track and Level (for example Bachelor's / Licence · Year 2);
  • for uploaded files, the SHA-256 file fingerprint and the File integrity verified mark;
  • Signed QR: OK when the page was opened from a genuine IVQA QR code.

A revoked document shows only the REVOKED banner and the reason; an expired one shows EXPIRED with the end date. Drafts answer Not found. See Verification status.

Students and badges#

The QR code generated when you validate a student — also printed on their badge — opens the student's verification page: Student Verification Result with the student's name, UID, institution, programme, level, enrollment number, registry status (validated, pending or revoked) and the date of the last update.

On check.ivqa.org, verifiers can also type the codes: the Student UID under E-Card, a document code under Document, a certificate or diploma code under Certificate & Diploma.

What is not exposed#

No email, phone number, national ID or date of birth appears on public pages. The PDF itself is not served by the verification page. A verifier who needs the file must obtain it from the student or from your institution.

Every scan is recorded#

Verification page visits are logged with their result, which feeds the Analytics page. See Institution analytics.
