This article explains how to use the Status & Revocations page to revoke or restore documents and to change statuses.
Introduction#
When a document should no longer be trusted, you revoke it. The verification page then shows REVOKED with your reason, on every copy of the document, immediately. A revoked document can be restored later. This page requires the Owner, Admin or Manager role.
A. Revoke a document#
-
Go to Status & Revocations
-
Filter on Documents, or search the person's name or UID

-
Enter a reason, for example Issued in error
-
Confirm
The document status becomes Revoked and its verification page shows the REVOKED banner with your reason.
B. Revoke a certificate or diploma#
-
Use Find an issued award
-
Enter the full code (IVQA-CER-2026-…), the student UID or the title
-
Click Revoke and enter a reason
Note: Certificates and diplomas stay searchable here even if the student was deleted.
C. Restore a document#
-
Find the revoked document
-
Click Restore
The verification page shows VALID again (or EXPIRED if the validity period has ended). Only documents that still exist and were published can be restored.
D. Change the status of several items#
-
Tick the items, or click Select all
-
Choose Validated, Pending or Revoke
-
Click Submit
Note: Revoking a student or an employee stops new documents for them but does not revoke documents already issued. Revoke those documents explicitly.
