A student must be validated before any document can be issued to them. Validation and the student's personal QR code are the same action in IVQA: Generate QR & Submit.
Where#
Sidebar → Operations → QR Codes students (also reachable from a student's QR page action on the Students page). The page shows the totals (Total students, Validated, Revoked), a search box (name, UID, email, CIN) and a status filter.

Validate one student#
Find the student
Search by name or UID, or filter on Pending.Select Generate QR & Submit
Confirm Generate the QR code and submit this student?Done
The student's status becomes Validated and their QR code appears in the row. IVQA confirms QR code generated successfully.
The QR code opens the student's own verification page (check.ivqa.org/verification/student/<Student UID>), which shows their name, UID, institution, programme, level, enrollment number and registry status. Use View details to see the QR code, download or print it.
Validate many students at once#
Select the pending students you want (or Select all), then use the bulk action Generate them all. The page reports how many were processed and how many were not eligible (already validated or revoked).
Revoke and reactivate#
- Revoke sets the student to Revoked: their verification page shows the revoked registry status and no new documents can be created for them. Confirm Revoke the QR code of this student?
- Reactivate returns a revoked student to Validated.
Why validation is required#
Pending students appear greyed out in Student documents and Diplom and Certificate with the message This student is still pending. Activate their QR code (validate the student) before creating school documents. Validation confirms that the record is complete and final enough to be referenced by issued documents.
