This article gives an overview of the different ways to add a verification QR Code to a document in IVQA.
Introduction#
Every document issued with IVQA gets a unique QR Code and a public ID (for example IVQA-DOC-2026-EXAMPLE1). Scanning the QR Code opens the document's verification page on check.ivqa.org. There are three ways to create such a document.
A. Generate from a template#
-
Log in to your dashboard
-
Go to Student documents (institutions) or Employee documents (companies)
-
Select the person and pick a template
-
Adjust the text and click Save
IVQA generates the PDF with the QR Code already in place. See Generate a Student Document or Create an Employee Document.
B. Upload your own file#
-
Go to Student documents, Diplom and Certificate, Employee documents, Institution Documents or Company Documents
-
Upload the PDF, JPG or PNG
-
Drag the QR Code where you want it and click Save
IVQA saves a new PDF with the QR Code. See Upload a Certificate or Diploma.
C. Use the Google Workspace or Microsoft Office add-on#
-
Open the IVQA add-on inside Google Docs, Sheets or Slides, or inside Word, Excel or PowerPoint
-
Sign in with your IVQA account
-
Select the person and the document type, then click Generate
The add-on inserts the document content and its QR Code into your file. See Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
Note: Whatever the method, each generated document is a new document with its own QR Code. Generating twice creates two documents.
