This article explains how to validate students and generate their personal QR Code from the QR Codes students page.

Introduction#

A new student is Pending. Before you can issue a document to a student, you must validate them. Validation generates the student's QR Code, which opens their own verification page on check.ivqa.org. This page shows the student's name, UID, institution, program and registry status.

A. Validate a student#

  • Go to QR Codes students

  • Find the student. You can search by name, UID, email or national ID

  • Click Generate QR & Submit

  • Confirm

The student is now Validated and their QR Code appears in the list. Click View details to see, download or print it.

B. Validate many students at once#

  • Tick the pending students, or click Select all

  • Click Generate them all

IVQA validates the selected students and tells you how many were processed.

C. Revoke or reactivate a student#

  • Click Revoke to set the student to Revoked. Their verification page shows the revoked status and no new document can be created for them

  • Click Reactivate to validate them again

Note: Revoking a student does not revoke the documents already issued to them. To revoke a document, use Status & Revocations. See Status and Revocations.
