Validity modes#
Every employee document is created in one of two modes:
| Mode | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Always valid | No dates. The document stays valid until it is revoked. |
| Period | An Effective from date and/or a Valid until date. |
Company documents can also carry a validity period set in the editor (Set validity period). Uploaded files without a period are always valid until revoked.
How the status is computed#
IVQA evaluates the dates at each verification:
- before Effective from → NOT YET VALID with the effective date;
- between the dates (or no dates) → VALID;
- after Valid until → EXPIRED with the end date.
There is nothing to schedule and no batch job: the day after the end date, scans show EXPIRED.
Change a period#
On Employee documents, open the document and use Set validity period — choose Always valid or new dates. The change applies immediately to the public page; the QR code does not change. Company documents are edited the same way from their editor.
When a document expires#
- Extend the period if the same document should stay valid.
- Otherwise create a new document (new public ID and QR code) and, if needed, revoke the old one so its page says REVOKED rather than EXPIRED.
