How the add-ons work#
- Open the IVQA add-on inside the editor
- Sign in with your IVQA email and password (and choose your workspace if you have several)
- Pick a student or employee and a document type
- Generate
- IVQA issues a new document and returns its content, public ID and QR code
- The add-on inserts the content and the QR code into the file
- The add-ons use the same rules as the dashboard: the person must be validated, and your role must allow document management.
- Every Generate is a new issuance with a new public ID and QR code — generating twice creates two verifiable documents. See Issuing documents.
- The QR image inserted in the file is produced by IVQA and encodes only the public verification URL.
Managing documents created from an editor#
Documents issued through the add-ons verify on check.ivqa.org like any other. To revoke or restore them, use Status & Revocations (search by public ID). They are not listed in the Student documents or Employee documents panels, which only show documents created in the dashboard, and they cannot be edited there.
Building your own integration#
Use the same API with an API token created in Settings → API Tokens. See API overview and Authentication and API tokens.
